Sorry if this is the wrong thread, admins feel free to move to another part of the forum if you like.

Post pics of your first models!!!
I dont have any pictures at the moment but Ill try and get some up soon. My WoMT have the worsed faces ever, just a smudge of a flesh colour, the armour is on all of them looks different, some are to shiny others are to dark. I think ill just brush that army to the side and start a new one :D

Anyone els have these problems of your figures looking bad, or atleast not that good.

Not got pics to hand, but might have a model or two that I've not repainted from back in the day (11ish years ago :D ). 6th edition Chaos Warriors were simply mithril silver/chainmail (not consistent :D) on random limbs, the rest black, the weapons boltgun metal and then smear red across them as major blood splatter. Goblin green bases too!

My god...Ive about 70% complete my Captain of Minas Tirith and he looks worse then the standard paint scheme for my WoMT and I used highlights and everything!!!!

Gaming is fun, painting for me is just a chore..

My first ones:

I painted these when the FotR came out, 2001 I think it was. The Man of Gondor (as they were called then) was the first, the goblin second and the elf third.

Actually the very first was a High Elf warrior whose armour I painted solid yellow. Looks like a Swedish ice-hockey player... I should paint three blue crowns on the chest. :-)

cheers Valpas, it doesn't make me feel so bad now considering my gondor army is practically my first serious painting...
I would have actually said the elf in the middle is pretty good :D

I didn't do a whole lot of painting when I first started, but when I did, they usually looked pretty much the same as Valpas'. I thought mine looked really good, that is, until I saw my brothers painted mini's

Actually, I do have a pic of my very first mini's, and they turned out worse than Valpas', but that might be because of the mini's, or(most likely) because I was using horrible paints. But even if I did use better paints, I doubt they would've been much better.

My first set of minis I painted were some Warrior of Minas Tirith, painted with extremely thick layers of paint. Unfortunatly I don't have them anymore, but trust me - they were bad!
