Thanks very much garmenhord.
It is quite a challenge to paint models within a time limit so the quality is sightly reduced but i can live with that. Its better that you take your time painting and enjoy it. Your models on your blog look really good so i think the slow and steady approach is really working for you. Thanks for the comment. Corsair: any scores?
Cheers,

Short little ditty: My massive undertaking never materialized. A few days after posting and getting setup the hobby store pulled the event... :-X ...for no reason. SO, I went back to my original project and worked on that. Yeah, I know...but here is my monthly undertaking:

Halabrad is a normal metal ranger painted with more highlights and mounted. I wanted something that I could add to my force without having that hugemongous banner (kinda kills the forest ninja feel :-D ) and before asking that IS too a son of a Dunadain ...in training. The "moss" on his feet is from a practical joke gone awry :P ((and his hair doesn't look like a bowl irl, just can't seem to get good pictures of standard mini's...now an ent I can)

Battle Ready::

I have more in my Gallery.

As for December...I"m thinking Vault Wardens and perhaps Balin or Durin. Now that the allies are taken are of I can refocus back on the true hero's of the field
:D DWARVES :D

Sorry for my lack of updates recently, it's a little difficult for me to upload pics on my computer. Anyway, here are my finished orcs.

I will post some more of them along with some WIP shots as soon as I can. Hope you all like them!

Thanks! Yes, I did make my own tray, in fact, it's the first one I've ever made. I wish I could've made it and the orcs bases more dark and evil looking, but I only have the one kind of static grass at the moment, but I hope to get some more variety soon though.

ah no worries, it's looking good. Very good for a first try. Yes darker greens and browns can help to give them a more creepy effect. If your really wanting to go far, cobwebs or kind of low lying mist can work. Just use some cotton wool, and you can slightly spray it as well.

Going to start off December slowly and see if I can work up from these entries::
Dain:
Attachment:
Dec 2010 Challenge (10).JPG

:D

King Champion A:
Attachment:
Dec 2010 Challenge (5).JPG

Bursting through Urks and !!!YES!!! he **IS** doing a "foot-to-face" to a orc!!! :yay:

King Champion B:
Attachment:
Dec 2010 Challenge.JPG

mhmmm....picture says it all  Shaggy got shagged

The 2 Champions were my attempt at making a figure for one prior to them being made...yeah, go figure. Anywho, you'll see (from the ones in my gallery) that they both started on a cavalry base; then when word came down they'd be on monster bases I switched them and yes...then they were made into regular infantry bases...*sigh* :?

:D SO COME ON !!!! DECEMBER HAS STARTED LETS GET THIS PAINTING GOING !!!! :D
