I'll join this thing for February since I am looking to complete my 10 Swan knights next month, so I'm in.

Your dwarfs look great Cyndra, especially the highlights. Things seem to have quietened recently.

Thanks very much Drum. It has been quiet but I will have an update tomorrow and then February should be good as well.

I know I'm shooting the gun here early, but I just want to get this done and over with. I've been working on my Wotr army for nearly two years now I think, with the majority of the time setting my hobby aside doing very little. Just this month I've completed my Rohan warriors & riders. I wanted my 5 Rohan heroes to be done by the end of this month but only managed to complete Theoden. So for February I'm hoping to top off and finish my remaining heroes and 11 swan knights. Already started painting on them very long ago, but nothing really much done. My swan riders are only primed.

So I'll try my best to keep you all updated, sorry for shooting early, I've already broken some rules to begin with anyway. I've noticed an Eomer someone primed and set to be done for this month, hope to see it posted soon completed before February begins.

What do you mean RUBBISH!? They're pretty awesome, you have more talent than me anyway. Like your Eomer, hope mine's just as good. Your Elf pic cut off here, but I viewed it using another program, really like the paint scheme of it. Especially like the silver/blue tint you have going on the armor.

Just a question about the elf, cyndra. Why did u chose for white grass? (Or is it snow?) (Srry, that i wonder what it is)

Alright took me longer than expected to paint one rider that's not even 100% complete. Makes me wonder if I'll meet the deadline in the shortest month of the year. Sorry that the lighting is not the best quality for the pic.

So I wanted to go in a bit of a different direction from GW's scheme of a silver helm or silver bullet look. Was contemplating whether to paint the chest plate armour Regal Blue + varnish, but leaving it silver looks just fine.
Now I'll go factory line with the rest.

The Elf looks very good. And you painted it pretty quickly too.
I'm looking forward to seeing your rider finished.

I just mean that they aren't as good as some of my recent work. Thanks for the supporting words though. Thanks about the elf, the armour is just chainmail then mithril silver then washed with asurmen (sp?) blue

Yes it is snow scatter, but it hadn't dried full so it looks a little clumpy. I thought a snowy base complemented the colours of my elves and i did them before my board.

Thanks for the kind works guys. Good work on the Knight as well, the cream is a nice touch.

Thanks for the encouraging comments guys. Hmm.. I'm also starting to wonder if I'm the only one painting for this month. Anyways my Swan riders are like %70 done and hope to be finished by the 6th then I'll move onto the horses. To tell you the truth it's looking pretty dire. I need to be completely done the knights by the 12th so I can move onto my remaining Rohan heroes, even then I still don't think I'll be finished in time unless I avoid going into too much detail.

I liked reading ScarpeIron's idea of an iron man competition. Except I rather it be for a month rather than 24 hrs. Maybe for next month I'll challenge people to a 100 x 25mm based model cap of who can paint the most within a month :!:

^^^ NO ABSOLUTELY NOT!

What's stopping you from entering now? Basically the people who were in charge of this thread have long departed, so right now this is; anybody can drop in and try their best to abide by the rules of the Community WIP.

Hopefully this site returns back to its former glory soon, because apparently this WIP topic rewarded participants coins or badges or something... some sort of forum code of honors.

Right. Maybe someone should make a new one of these, if people aren't interested anymore. Then the people that wanted to do it could, and all the others can keep at being inactive.

Well this is a sticky thread and people come and go all the time. So when members are active, they're the ones that keeps this thread going (being us right now at this moment). There's no point of having a duplicate thread of the same idea. Right now this site is under re-construction, so there's no rewards being given out, which pretty much makes this topic thread obsolete of its purpose to begin with, but people continue it on for fun. Kind of like a support group for painting.
