Played the numernorean list twice today

First was Take the High Ground, the S4 and D7 of the dwarves, not to mention the bodyguard rule, meant I crushed all but three of the enemy by turn 10, it was a good thing I gave Gimli the elven cloak, as as I predicted he tried to snipe him with nasty ringwraith magic. Victory!

Second game was the take the middle objective (Take and hold?), dwarves and black numernoreans appearing everywhere, naturally he legged it across and got there first, surrounded the objective, so the dwarves mobbed him and chopped most of them down. Victory!

Testy the test dwarf:

the gold was dwarf bronze, then shining, mitril and washed sepia.
Chainmail was chainmail, washed black, chainmail and a touch of silver.
Metals (Axe and helmet) were the three silvers layered up with some wash in recesses.

Been a bit busy recently

BUT I'll be participating in the Armies On Parade competition at my store. I plan to use my Corsairs and make a nice lotr themed harbour of sorts

That's a lovely conversion you've done, it's much better than the stock model. As garmenhord said can we have a look at the bowman and maybe army shot if you have time?
Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to seeing these painted.

oh I realise now that he is a musician then. The sense of movemen is captured really well in Mahur. That's a great looking force and it ties together really well. Keep up the great work (I'm also a big fan of your marines over on B&C as well

JUst posting this for my reference :
Metal - tin bitz, drybrush boltgun, drybrush mithril/chainmail. Wash devlan.
Cloth - scorched brown, drybrush calthan brown (foundation), wash belts black twice, wash material devlan and/or black.
Skin - Base darkflesh, wash with brown ink, wash with baal red.
base - base charadon granite, brush knarloc green, then dhebeb stone, grass, then drybrush grass dhebeb stone.

I have a terrible memory sometimes.. had to go through all my posts to find that!

I managed to get the full 500pts built, cleaned up and based today, but then got sucked into playing some games of 40k (beat up some of the new grey knights with the Orks)

The scouts are ready to paint, but got distracted again.. not far though.

Shop had a LOAD of fighting Uruk Hai laying around, so I've started painting them for display.

There's 40 pike men, 40 shields and a captain and a banner. Oh and an old metal isengard troll.
There was also five crossbows, 3 berserkers.

I bought another box of Uruks, and also got over 50 crossbows from the Fantasy Dark Elves (same ones I used on my corsairs), so going to make some cheeky plastic crossbow men from most of the box.
Painting wise I got all 80 something of the pikes and shields half painted, the armour anyway, and started on the flesh on 8 of them.
Aiming for a week to complete them
