Spiders look awesome - so do the scouts. You are doing lots of great painting.

That looks really nice ! Those spiders are really nice. I also like the base. i should pick up the paintbrush again, feels like ages since i have painted. To much going on, it's starting to take it's toll.

As promised, pictures!

Not some of my best work.. but they'll do!

Recipe:
Basecoat scorched, airbrush purple from above, scorpion green for stripes, highlight stripes with yellow. Wash thraka.
base is charadon granit, drybrushed knarloc, then drybrushed bleached. Stone is then drybrushed codex and the fortress grey.
Glade grass, rims black, then airbrush with matt varnish to give the grass the mossy struggling to grow look.

And how goes the Arachnarok spider from a couple of pages back? I drop in from time to time hoping to see progress on it, and haven't yet...

Hopefully that'll come up soon, have a busy week uni wise, but will try and get something done to it

Also just whacked together this little fella. The problem with the spiders is the pts cost and the low Defense, meaning they get shot to ribbons. Some "spider-wargs" will be a nice shield wall/distraction unit whilst the spiders advance

Still needs a lot of research and experiments to get the fur looking right..

Is that brown static grass you've put on the spider? That could be an interesting way of 'fluff-ifying' them. You might even be able to make the static grass stick up on end for extra fluffiness.

It was normal green grass that I then painted. Might have to have a look for brown grass.. I think GW might do a dark brown/black colour that I can put on after painting.. Oooh.

It's actually hair (from my head!), then the drool is a mixture of polycement (plastic glue) and some yellow. And I think some gloss...

They were done through painting the eyes normally (from orange to yellow), doing the pupil bit, and then using Tamiya X-27 clear red (what I usually use for blood) straight over the eyes,

Oh and here's a pic compared to the dragon.
