Well drop the rangers to get 3 more warriors of minas tirith with bows, that way you can atleast reach the volley limit. If you're gonna ally in 8 men at arms of dol amaroth with pikes then make sure you have 8 normal spearmen so you can form a real spearwall with pikes and spears. I assume forlong will be leading the cavalry and that should be fine. Damrod is a perfectly good choice but for only 10 points more eowyn is a better deal imo. Mount beregond so his might point can be used on getting the all important cavalry charge, then you can kill him off however you please, he could even engage a terrifying enemy and take a blow for the team while forlong retreats.

WoMT and Rangers can volley together. They have the same type of bow.

Good point but having 3 d4 models amongst d5 really affects the survivability of a volley, a standard bow needs a 6 to kill a womt with bow and only needs a 5 to kill a ranger, if the 3 rangers die, the volley is ruined... Then yet again at 500 points volleys are not incredibly abundant. Btw i forgot to point out that i really like the list, sorry.

It has too much variety for my taste, but that's just me. Nevertheless, I would expect it to be reasonably effective.

Keep the rangers to be honest, if you don't plan to volley much their 3+ to hit will add a random punch their warg riders etc might not be expecting but I would be tempted to drop something to give spears to the rangers and a horse to beregond.

Eowyn replacing Damrod makes sense--and I gave her a horse instead of Forlong on horse, so her 2 might could benefit the cavalry, and keep Forlong with the troops (and save a conversion). Adjusted pikes to spears.

Actually i think its just a hero of gondor, and forlong the fat counts as a her of gondor i believe. I just imagine a really awful 80's sitcom about beregond and forlong getting into all sorts of crazy antics...
On another note, eowyn should probably have armour too and maybe a few more men at arms would't go a miss:

It works, but I can't say it's very themed...

drop beregond and eowyn (and a few soldiers) and take a mounted captain? More themed, less "for the sake of it"

@ cereal thief: but that way you get 1 less might, 2 less fate and 1 less model, it isn't t even that thematically bad, all these characters were at pelennor fields.

Yeah but when given the choice of a pure (same country) list or a mixed lists, i prefere the pure lists.
I know that is a radical idea in the tournie world but sometimes its ok to just do Gondor.
Btw both groups being at the P-fields doesnt mean they held hands and danced in the daisies.

tbh I would mount beregond, drop eowyn and get damrod in there for better themed-ness (great word)
Damrod is a Dam(rod)n site more themed

SMB's list is pretty good but the theme is already in a wooden box. The first list I think is a bit silly because of the MaAoDA supporting WoMT wasting their F4.

A good (fairly) themed list I think would have to be something like this:

Beregond on horse- 31 pts.
Forlong-60 pts.
12 GotFC shields- 132 pts.
6 CG on horse with longbow- 96 pts.
14 MaAoDA-126 pts.
6 rangers, spears- 54 pts.
total: 499 points, 40 tough units, 12 shots (6 mounted elf bows), 4 might.
