GAH i really need a spider queen. Nice work! I really like them. Makes me want one. I got quite a bunch of plastic spiders but i don't think they are well enough to do something with. (To much rubber like).

No they are still all there


I got them for the kids to play with. I am going to experiment and see if I can make one work. I glued it to a pin . The base coat is is sticking with out primer. I will see how it goes.


I can't get the macro to work even on a camera stand. No way to manually focus.
I would like some suggestions for contrasting colors for the baby spiders on the Spider Queens back.I think I am going to do the eyes green.

Green eyes are going to look really creepy on that. Can't wait to see it!

I am going to try to work on the 1980 beast's face and the spider eyes later today.


I should have primed the OOP dragon white. I did not know that the girls would want it red.It has two left wings so I am going to let the girls put gold glitter on it.The red craft paint is too thick it would have been ok over white.


I have been experimenting with using future floor finish and Ink for the Hirst Arts blocks as a wash. I think it is going to work better than Min Wax. I put a finish on every thing in the photos with a chestnut and future wash. I am going to try a raspberry ink wash on the dragon. I am going to work on the buildings browns before I do the final high lights to the stucco. The skull and the door are washed over plaster. I am going to make a black and dark brown wash and try again.

The spider base.
I was going to use it in the cave so I was not going to put grass on it. I decided to make two bases because the cave base looks too plain.

The spiders eyes are fantastic!!! A really sharp contrast to the spiders colouration. Well done

I received the new mold in the mail today. You can see how useful it will be.I made one cast.

I will finish up the Halloween project and get to the Moria up grade strait away.

Oh giant's skeletons

I finished the Old Forest. It fills the space I had planed for it. I need to build a transport box but it is ready. Next I plan to work on a few details. I have a few more plans for the Shire and The road to Goblin Town. I want to make a new water fall and some new river sections. I have two more bridges all most ready to glue up and a small bridge I will finish today.

I have some evil looking trees in the works for Mirkwood suggestions are welcome.
