I finally convened one of my gaming buddies to try SBG. He is going to build Elf tree houses. It is going to be large so we had to peg it to the 3/4 Plywood base through the pine bark and 3inch pink foam. We also added a very large section to the main tree with another peg. The tree base is two box wood trunks I salvaged.I will try to talk Fred into joining the one ring. I will post progress. We also cut out an island from 3 inch pink foam for his part of the Pirate town.

Looks very nice already, will look very Lothlorienesque. Using actuual wood would be cheapr than sculpting it and will look more naturakl good job Also Did you coerce him?

I helped him build game boards for his WWII and Pirate game. It was very near coercion to get him to consider plastic models. He really hates plastic.

I don't want to put words in his mouth, soft detail would be the simple answer. He is a much better painter than I am. He paints rank badges on 15mm figures.

I worked on some tree bases today.I used MDFB and saw dust with white glue. I am waiting on magnetic bases for the restoration project.

The tree bases look really good. I assume you'll put foliage on eventually? Will be interesting to see how this works out.
