He can't. Madril is needed to run the third Warband.

1) A 500 point army cannot have 502p.
2) Are your by the new rules. Regardless of the answer, I would say you should remove one of the banners for more warriors-not Madril.

1. Really, I've never had any qualms when playing against people when they go over the limit by 1 or 2 pts.
2. Yes, it's by the new rules. Even if I got rid of the banner I would only be able to exchange him for 1 troop as I only have 3 heroes. Therefore, I am only allowed 36 troops which I have already filled up.

@Hilbert, in the new rules, GW said you can go over by a couple of pts now.

@emre, do get rid of the banner, and in LoME, gW were very strict about going over by a pt, but they are not in their new rules so you are fortunate.

@Gothmog, thanks for the info. Admittedly I had been out of the hobby for a few years so hadn't even picked up LOME, nor do I have any of the new sourcebooks, so I'm kind of piecing things together based on limited knowledge. If I do get rid of the banner I would be left with 30 pts and only able to purchase 1 warrior due to the new warband rule. Although I suppose that I could purchase a cheap hero, such as Pippin???

I would recommend Beregond, he would be more useful I think.
