Aye tt's a strange one lol, if it was treated separately you'd think the King would have to take a 'Thrown Rider' test and suffer damage

I was wondering for the sake of those models that have a "death throes"-kind of result when they die...Does the support also become affected? Not those models that have a radius upon when they die, but more like our Elven hero Haldir. I know the ruling on spears/pikes, BUT do special abilities like Haldir override the rule?

Ok, I don't know the details about their rules (or any rules for the GB for that matter), but the only ability that can wound supporters is Sauron's Unstoppable rule.

The Great Beast has a "Dead Weight" special rule, its a death throe upon being slain. Its a 2" radius, which would hit all those models in that radius; friend or foe.

Oh, so how come the Mumak doesn't have that? In that case it would wound the supporters.

Well, Great Beast is Tolkien as well... However, they do have to give it SOMETHING special to make it different than a small Mumak, though I would actually prefer if it was just a small Mumak.

its the special abilities. GW made the rules, the Mumak/Oliphant is a well known icon of ME, can't really twik it. The others are not.

Indeed. The great drinking of the coffee is rendering thy writing most emotion-filled. At least emoticon-filled. But I would really, really think that a large critter would kindly fall down and die in the same way. Thus, I see their area effect death as not making much by way of sense.

In Tolkien's LotR, 'Great Beasts' are probably Mumakil as Haradrim joined the main Orc assult, and the Mumakil were described as Great Beasts, and they were pulling other siege equipment.

Nice explanation, works well enough for me. Besides, when one has something the size of a Mumak, why not use it?
