Okay, I want to know if I have understood how Grey Company works. Dúnedain and Rangers of the North are Independent Heroes, but can effectively have 4 Rangers of Arnor in their warband?
So these example lists are legal?

LIST ONE

-Captain of Arnor
-8 Warriors of Arnor
-4 Rangers of Arnor

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor

-Dúnedain
-4 Rangers of Arnor

-Ranger of the North
-2 Rangers of Arnor

or...

LIST TWO

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor (4 spears)

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor (4 spears)

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor (4 spears)

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor (3 spears)

-Ranger of the North
-4 Rangers of Arnor


I think I made myself clear. The lists were not meant to be competitive or used or something, I just want to know if I get it right.

I don't have the new books, however, as I understand it, your wrong.

- You need to have a non independant hero for every warband.
- You need one rotn or dunedain for every four ranger of arnor.

So a list would look like this.....(In short, GC is not really viable.)

captain of arnor
12 rangers (6 with spear)

captain of arnor
12 rangers (6 with spear)

captain of arnor
12 rangers (6 with spear)

9 rotn (1 for every four rangers)

Independant Hero's can't have a warband, so this is correct.

I thought that only the Warbands that go over the bow limit need the RotN....

Thus:

Malbeth
8 Warriors of Arnor
4 Rangers w/ Spear

Captain of Arnor
8 Warriors of Arnor
4 Rangers w/ Spear

Captain of Arnor
12 Rangers w/ Spear

3 Rangers of the North (one for each in WB that goes over)

Both lists are correct, the first doesn't have any non bow-armed troops.
