Outstanding work Chris, I really like the colour scheme you went for. Much, much better than that horrible red that GW used. The tiles on base look excellent. Keep up the good work, hopefully we'll see some reports of a brave and noble Dwarven band going up against the beastie in the near-future? /nudgenudge :)

How long did it take you to assemble the dragon and do all the preparatory work? Is it finecast or metal?

Thanks mate :-D And yes, we will definitely see the Dwarves come up against the Goblins, I just don't have many Goblins painted at the moment (24 Goblins, 4 Prowlers and Durburz, and then the cave troll and dragon) :)

It doesn't take very long at all, it took maybe 10-15 minutes to assemble (using the Green Stuff and Superglue method), and then maybe an hour gap filling (it would have been much easier with a sculpting tool) as I only filled one or two gaps each time, so that I didn't get fingerprints on the Green Stuff and because I wanted to finish a few other projects in between. And it's finecast :)

Thanks :D And get one, they're worth it ;) 8) I had no problems with my Dragon, except the usual gap filling.

Outstanding Chris!!! Fantastic job on a sculpt that is really difficult to make look good. Great choice in colours and the freehand is well done too.

Great work Chris - I think you bested me there! I really love the rich purple colour and his face looks spot on.

Thanks DMS :D I did quite like painting Gil-galad until I got the face, I went a bit heavy on the Bestial Brown wash and his face went darker then I wanted

Thanks :D Although I wouldn't be so sure about my Gil-galad being better, it's easier to paint something if you like it 8)

Thanks :-D I did struggle to choose what colours to use, as I wanted him to stand out from the rest of the force, yet not look out of place

I think he look great!! Only issue I see is the tiny dark spot on the end of his nose, otherwise he is a winner! :)
