I'd like some suggestion on an all grey company army at 750 points, it would have to be very themed. Also an evil army for them to fight at the same points which would also need to be themed. Who did the grey company fight in the books. Basically we're try to play out a book themed battle .thanks

My suggestion would be to drop the Horses from Legolas and Aragorn. I'm assuming you chose them because of the special rules they get when all together, such as the moving through terrain and Legolas and Gimli treating him as a banner? If you put them two on horses Gimli will always get left behind.

I would also swap out some of the ROTN and get some Rangers of Arnor. There is a special rule that lets you take over the 1/3 bow limit if you have 1 ROTN for each 4x Rangers of Arnor. It will give you that few more miniatures to help with totals.

Try:

Aragorn + Anduril + Bow - 255
Legolas + Armour - 95
Gimli - 90

Halbarad + Banner of Arwen - 125
12x Rangers of Arnor (4 with spear) - 100

3x Rangers of the North - 75

You're 10 points shy there, but at least you have 18 bows at 3+, and one of those is Legolas with his special rules, so you'll have more of a chance of taking people down before they get close to you.

I was actually refering to the usual strider not 'Aragorn, Isildur's heir:)
The usual strider doesnt have that special rule.
My suggestion wasn't really for gaming but for all out thematic-ness

I'd like the army to be as competitive as possible

I've got Aragorn (with bow and armor), Halbarad with banner, 6 RotN and 24 Rangers of Arnor. I think it comes to ~ 660. If you add in Legolas with armor you'll have ~755, so you have enough to give both Legolas and Aragorn horses. A thematic army for them to face would either be goblins/orcs or Southrons/Easterlings.
