Right, so plastic horsies arrived in the post. No poses particularly suitable, but hey- that's what greenstuff is for! Here's Radagast mounted, pre-stuffing. It's like the EFGT Radagast was made to ride!

Simply left bigger 'haloes'- more of the gorthor showing, and more of the balor, only a light central dusting with the karak. The Witch King will be hardly any karak, and more 'ornate' shading.

Thanks again 8)

Started work on the Fellbeast's base, and greenstuff'd Radagast. Now have to decide what colour to paint the horse! I'm leaning towards brown for Gandalf, black for Saruman, and a dapply grey one for Radagast... whaddya think?

Did you do any cutting or filling to fit raddy onto the horse? I would be interested to see a picture of what you did to get him on it.

I sawed his legs off, then sawed each leg from each other, discardingthe 'waist'. I then trimmed the ends down, tapering them to fit against the horse's body. Then just stuck him back together! Getting the horse the right position was a far more difficult task!

The greenstuffing llooks good, it blends in well 8)

The base is great too, though I'm not sure the fell beast needs any more height - you might struggle to transport the thing.

The height is because, with the wings pointed down, it would otherwise be crab walking along the floor! It's actually the same height as the standard pose now, just head^body^wings rather than wings^body^head.

Okay okay. your conversion is nice. so its more than fine 8)

Nothing wrong with walking though, but you'd have to reposition the wings to the way bats do.

Or it could just look silly. no sillier than a certain Goblin King who thinks he is a monkey.

Anyway, I think I am rambling about something which is very unhelpful, just keep at what your doing 8)

Hehe. I do need to decide what's the best pose for the Witch King, though... Either standing on the floor, wings out wide, or swooping down, neck down mouth open and claws ready to snatch... I'll have to have a play... But will focus on Azog and the Wizards first!

So all the stuff I need for Azog arrived! Huzzah! Before I start, though-one question. Does anyone have both the plastic siege troop uruk hai berserkers and the metal/finecast berserkers? Could anyone get me a comparison shot? Are the metal ones any bigger, or are they the same? Just gotta check before I start!

Hi, both same size on the berserkers.
Paint the horse grey, it will show the browns up better

Yes,
Definitely paint Radagast's horse grey and Saruman's horse black.

Not sure about Gandalf's horse colour though...
