when using a demolition charge does it cause damage to the models behind the door I'm attempting to breach? Or are they somewhat protected by the door?

I'm pretty sure in classic SBG batter points only went against the door/structure. Even if you obliterate it the blast didn't continue behind. But this is from old recollection and, though we've used battering rams some, demolition charges have only been used in maybe two games my entire SBG life.

I'd love to hear someone with the new rules clarify.

There is nothing about walls or doors protecting you from the blast in the new rules. I guess you just gotta move your homies away from the door when orcs come knocking. People on the battlements would be safe though, at-least that is something :)

8) Makes perfect sense.

But the blast from the charge is an area effect, right? What if you're on the other side of the wall and the wall is not actually destroyed by the blast. Are the models on the other side still injured (maybe debris coming at them from the damage even if the wall wasn't destroyed)?

Sorry...hope to have my copy of the rules in a couple weeks. :(
