So I was taking a look at some of the Hobbit models and I must say I'm absolutely smitten with those warriors of Dale

I was wondering, has any of you seen any (good looking) alternative colour schemes on them?

I'd recommend purple and gold, rich colours to represent the wealthiest of human cities at the time. It seems imposing and goes well together, making them look much more awesome than normal. I too really like the models (got a few built on my desk, and more waiting to be built) and think I'll go for a purple-gold colour.
But it all depends on the colour scheme of the troops you field them with.
