April Miniatures Release

We still have a week until they get officially announced, but WD has been leaked and the focus is Tau Empire for 40K. Just like for the January releases, the Hobbit minis are left out for the most part, but you can make out what appear to be at least 3 character sets. Unfortunately, you can only make out some of the scenery, but you can see at least one is on stone (possibly Thrain?), one is in the woods (possibly Azog?) and one you can't really tell. I could also see the woods one being Radagast's sled, and the stone one could be any of the dwarves. Anyhow, let the speculation begin.

I can't see anything in the pics for The Hobbit.
Pity they don't make pictures for every release in the WD

Top one looks like it could be dol guldur?
Middle one probably a dwarf
Bottom one is woods so could be azog, radagast, finecast company, spiders, or anything really.

lol whats to say those 3 little corners are even for hobbit releases? Anybody who can say they see anything in them has eyes like a hawk!

Its good to see the Tau Empire finally getting an update, they've needed one for a long time. The prices are disgusting though. £2 each for plastic infantry? £30 for a single Broadside battlesuit? £45/£15 each for 3 plastic Crisis Battlesuits

I would like to play Tau, but at these prices, I wouldn't even consider it.

You can tell they're from the hobbit because of the gold and brown colour scheme

That list is basically a list of everything that could possibly be in the pipeline. Nothing definitive. We will soon find out.
I suppose how much attention gw gives the hobbit is actually in our hands. If we expand the hobby with more gaming clubs (like our manchester one) inviting friends to get involved and thus making gw more £ they will in turn pay more attention and give more time to us!!!

I wonder when they will release the Dale Captain. I haven't got the box yet so i don't know but is there an option for a banner and war horn on the profiles?

The Erebor dwarf command and Grim hammer banner\war horn are yet to be released but maybe they will leave them for midway in the year i don't know.

Dale Captain has rules in the Warriors of Dale box (I converted one of the models in the box to make mine), and there is no option for banners/war horns in the Warriors of Dale rules. Erebor Dwarves could use the same command set as regular Dwarf Warriors for now, but I reckon their command will be out soon, as well as Command groups for the other new forces (if they need them, I don't have the big book so I don't know for sure)
