Hello there, I haven't been on the forums for quite a while, because I took a break in warhammer again (as I do many time). I painted on and off, so I didn't fully stop. But now the Hobbit is coming soon I feel like doing more Warhammer again! ;D

I started a new project. I've had my first ever landscape for a couple of years now, but I'd like to improve it. Now it is like a landscape with hills and some houses in it. But what I'm going to make it into is a Rohan village, because the board/landscape just wasn't interesting enough, I think.

I had already some terrain pieces in the landscape, like a wooden tower, a stable, a small watch-out, a wall segment, a well, small wall segments, and such stuff.
All the stuff I will use in the landscape again are these:

I already started with making a segment of the wall, but because I was out of balsa wood, I had to stop for now. But I'll go get some more soon so I can make the wall and then the buildings and other stuff.

As you can see it fits into the rocks, smoothly.

And I added some detailes in the wall, to make it look stronger.

So basicly this is the what I got for now.

And this is what I want to make it into.

The red lines are the walls (that will all be on one level), the brown lines are the wooden planks behind the walls, to have the warriors stand on, and it is also the bridge on the right side of the picture. And the arrow is where the wall will be destroyed and where the enemie forces can get in.
I think I will make a Sketch-Up drawing of it soon.

I hope you all like it,
and as always:

C&C are welcome!

Mark Jorrit.

Hi all, I got a little update!
I just got the materials for the board, so I can go on making the walls and stuff.

And I decided I want to repaint all my Rohan Warriors, starting off with this one:

I'll repaint my Rohan Banner Bearer next up and already did the base and sprayed it black. (The first picture is the old model, don't worry haha, painted it a couple years ago, with oil paints haha). Some of the details have been faded away by the oil paints I used back then, but I tried to scrap some off. This was the best I could get it:

So now I'll continue with the board and the Rohan Banner Bearer ;D

C & C are welcome, as always!

The banner is really rough due to old paint, I think you should try stripping the model.
Since you used oil paints there are a lot of products available to get rid of it ;)

I like Rohan, it sure is nice to see them show up in someones WIP :)

Haha yeah, Rohan is my favorite force ;D
I tried to strip it, but that didn't work that good. But I also started painting already and I haven't got any setbacks due the thick oil paint that I painted on it before, yet. I'll continue on that model today, hopefully finish it so I can post it ;D

I'm back ;O

Wow.. I noticed I haven't been online in.. a while.. (14-12-12 was last time)
So here I am, back on the One-Ring forums ;D
The sad thing is I haven't made like a lot of progress, but I felt like working on the Rohan board today, so I did a little thingy.
I started with a watchtower to be on the board, and in the period in between I finished 3 Rohan warriors, and the banner bearer in total.

Pictures ;O

I really like it! Especially the well and spikes on the ground. It makes me want to pursue my own Rohan terrain.

Some great work on here :-) I seem to remember using painted fur for Rohan thatched roofs. You should check it out on the internet and see what you think about that idea.
