Well done, worth every minute of time you have spent on it. Can't praise your modelling skills enough.

The big question, what next?

I would like to graciously thank each and every response. It is very nice to see such comments.

Maybe you get the chance to grab a Gandalf on his cart sometime to fill this scene with even more life, or a Paladin Took waving his hat to Bilbo..

I will keep an eye out for one as I agree, it would be a nice little extra touch of life.

I like the Paladin idea

The big question, what next?

I have a couple of small projects to get me painting again. A fine cast Warg my daughter bought me back on Fathers Day. Then maybe Thror standing infront of his throne with the arkenstone. I want to give a crack at painting a jewel.
These will give me some practice before I start the next big one, the three trolls. It will be a forest scene with a cave, a waterfall and a river. The cave will be on a hill side and slopping down out of sight with plenty of troll mess, skills, swords, treasure etc.
As you may tell, plenty more detail work lined up.

Excellent work, love the finished Bag End with all the details and suitable figures! I will use these images as an inspiration, and aspire to create something even half as good once I start building Hobbiton (way in the future). Looking forward to your next project!

A truly stunning Bag End. It looks incredible from every angle, even from directly overhead (in that one it looks larger for some reason, as if we are seeing it on Google Middle-earth).

To find that I can inspire work of your standard is somewhat amazing to be honest, thank you. I have had no opportunity to start anything else due to a new arrival in our family but I am hoping to start something again very shortly.

Thanks for the thought Rognarr. Unfortunately this had finished after I saw it but to be honest I don't think I would have gone for it, just yet anyway. I'm into my next project, a fine cast Warg that had three goblins on board !!! i thought that a bit strange, a bit like a kids outing on a favourite pet !?! So I have reduced this to one rider and have constructed a different base.
I will start a new thread soon as this thread is getting long, and post updates soon.

I can't believe that this entire project seems to have escaped me. What an absolutely fantastic job you've done with it too. Great attention to detail in every aspect. Outstanding work!!! I promise to be more aware and comment on your progress on your next project.

It is very nice to see the comments nearly 3 weeks after I finished, i am humbled, thank you.
My local GW is after using this as a display piece in the New Year, which I think I will go for as it will be novel to see my work displayed in a shop. We chatted for a while and I ran my ideas by them and they want to display some of my future projects, so all in all it was nice.

I was wondering if I had done something to upset you !!! Only joking but no problems at all Kev, we are all busy people and I for one have missed many things.
