So whilst 350pts points of pure easterlings can be fun, it's also low on options for variety, and seeing as I recently got Wolfsbane and have some saxons I could use as Dunlandings, what about this?
Thryden Wolfsbane on horse
10 Dunlending warriors with shields
Easterling warpriest
12 Easterling warriors, 4 with pike and shield, 4 with shields 4 with bows
comes to 335pts, not sure what to spend the rest on. I'm also wondering if this is a good idea in the first place or if I should to stick with just pure easterlings at this level.

It's decent for that point level, but it's very rare to play a game that small. I would advise getting the priest a horse with that extra 15pts. The priest would be best used with more Easterlings as his Fury does not affect the Dunlendings.

you say that Draug, but there is a 350pt tournament in london on 23rd March. but yeah I agree. More easterlings if you wanna make best use of the warpriest.

Why does the War-priest's fury not affect the Dunlandings? I though fury was useable for all units of the same race ie man, orc, goblin etc

It says in the warpriests fury description that it only affects models from the eastern kingdoms.

Huh, I never play a game that small because it wouldn't really take that long. I guess that's why a tournament would do it at that size.

Plus it is easier for people to get 350pts :P Tbf I can do 500pts with my easterlings, possibly even 600, but I find the small games can be quite fun as well :P
Could it be an idea to drop Wolfsbane for a cheiftain and take an easterling captain and however many spare warriors that would get me?

Honestly bro with so few shots and such weak bows just drop the bowmen and add more pikes.

Think about it. You get max 4 shots per round. They hit 50% of the time.

That means you hit twice per round. Then to hit defence 4-6 you have a 33% chance only of hitting. Imagine if youre moving.....you have a 33% chance to hit. Thats maybe 3 hits in two round. Then Maybe 1 or 2 wounds.
Meh math math whatever just put the bows away.

while good armoured easterling warbands are great, durable and steady infantry, if you want to make full use of the fury, it would perhaps be wiser to capitalise on the fury, 5+ equivilant of feel no pain is nothing to be sniffed at. perhaps a captain in a second warband?

having said this, if you wanted a dunland force, obviously there is no other choice if you are going for one, but Thrydan is excellent! however, the dunland warriors are not as good as the easterlings, especially when they have fury, and so Thrydan may not be worth taking if you want a more elite force. perhaps giving Thrydan some Uruk hai warriors instead of dunland warriors,k would make taking Thrydan less of a cost.

AND.... you could upgrade some easterlings with shields to black dragon where they basically become uruk hai but with 1 less strength and 1 more courage.

It would be better to either go full easterlings or full dunlendings, especially in such a small game. Your best options are either pure melee or mostly melee with a few bows to take out banners, weaken heroes etc. Have you thought about what will happen if you have to go up against just a powerful hero and a few troops though? Using heavy hitters can be tricky to go up against at this points level since nothing can really take them down - e.g. Glorfindel, a troll chieftain. What scenarios are you playing?

Must admit this is being developed as a list to take to shadow and sorcery if I wanted to field evil rather then good, (though I will proberbly stick with good :)) and to get a quick game in against a mate who uses dwarves, especially the kings champion.
Looking on it, I'm thinking I would be best just going pure easterlings, something like this:
Amdur
12 Easterling warriors:4 with shields, 6 with pikes and shields, 2 with bows

Easterling war priest
11 Easterling warriors: 7 with sheilds, 4 with bows.
the precise numbers on ones with shield and bows can vary as I have enough to do up to 10 on each.
An idea could be to drop another one and give 4 of the pikes warriors in the first warband the black dragon upgrade? have 4 extra pikemen so could fit them in some how.

Seems solid, but I think you should add in the BD upgrade and the pikes. I would move all the bows into one warband and all the shields into another, but that's still a seriously solid list for 350 pts.
