Wonderful painting - the green outer garment is outstanding. She looks great (on my screen she is about 8.5cm tall so every detail is visible). Very nice close-ups!

My kind of women (she-elves... whatever). Good with weapons, very fit and elegant.
Beautiful painting. The flowers at their feet are a very neat little flourish - very delicate and fiddley to execute but a superb group of minis.

I have a lot of fun painting them, IMO they are the best miniatures from lotr/hobbit so far

It just dawned on me that Mirkwood Rangers sound like a soccer team.

I reckon Thranduil is more of a painting challenge as the mini is elegant but static by comparison to the rangers. The other thing for me is trying to work out a viable way to give even a hint of that textured, semi-metallic cloth in some of what he wore in the films. I have doubts that I will be able to manage it but maybe some of the better painters on the site will. I would be afraid of ruining an expensive mini.

I love those mirkwood rangers, and the way you've brought out the greens. Are you using the flowers from 4ground?
