Just noticed that the Gundabad General (Bolg as was) went weird in my wish list, so I thought he might have been discontinued. I went to look in the Hobbit section and he now costs £12, I’m sure he used to be £15.

You are correct. They changed his price to this of an unnamed finecast hero. Makes even more clear that their prices are based on what character you buy, not on their production cost...

Yup unfortunately I spent the old price. Luckily its in the Blog package brand new which I'll be saving.

Yeap, I would do exactly the same. Waiting until it picks up in value in the collectors' market, and then collect the big bucks :twisted: .

GW lowered a price?!?! This is really good unexpected news :) It may be a good idea to sign a petition of appreciation and see if they would consider doing the same with some other models. Typically I bought 'old Bolg' 2 weeks ago :roll:

Constantine - You might be waiting an eternity there bud. Only a collector who wants the packaging would pay more - they are the same model after all. I would suspect that most of those collectors already have one, but you might get lucky in a few years. I don't think he sold all that well though.

The end is nigh!

Hopefully they'll decide to make many other heroes 'unnamed' from now on. Wouldn't mind a 20-25% discount on more models...
