Spear and FV Questions.

Hey guys. This post is about fight value and also spear support. Until recently
I thought that if you have multiple miniatures in a fight all attacks would use the highest fight value. I also thought, because supporting with a spear means that for all purposes that model is not involved in the fight, that the fight value would be separated for models supporting and models base-touching.
But someone at my local GW told me otherwise. That the first scenario applies to spear support as well. Is this correct?
Also when using wargs me other friend uses the str 4 of the warg in wounding with all 4 dice. Is this correct as well? Is it just for cavalry or also for foot models?

Yes, yes and I'm not sure what you mean. But cavalry get +1 attack on the charge, then if they win they knock the enemy down and so double their attacks to wound (4 in this case). Warg riders can choose between using the strength and fight value of the rider or of the Warg. I hope I have answered your question somewhere :-)

And just as a clarification since it does get blurry some times...you cannot split those 4 strikes with total flexibility. You have 2 attacks ( one for the base attack and one for the charge bonus ) that you CAN split any way you want. Both against a single model or one each against two different models. For each of those Attacks, you get double strikes so can roll two dice. If your first die roll kills your first model, you can't shift that extra die over to the second and get a total of 3 dice.

but i see no reason to why not just use the warg's str since fight values will all way use the highest when determining who wins the fight. unless u want to use spec wep rules.
