Cavalry Spear Support!?

With the new rules saying spear support can support cavalry how about cavalry supporting cavalry with spears, in this instance a ranger of the north with a spear on a horse supporting another ranger of the north on a horse. Is this within the rules and can be done? There really isn't many actual 'spear' wielding cavalry so I've never come across this yet.

Yes they can (silly as it sounds) although like you say it's incredibly situational and I've never seen it come up. 9 times out of 10 your cavalry model will be better placed charging into combat and getting two attacks rather than supporting.
