What's the overall impression of Girion? I have yet to see his stats as i mostly have Lotr trilogy books. Only recently upgraded to the Hobbit Rulebook.
Would he make a pure Dale Force valable?

Whilst the model does look very impressive, I have to say his statline is quite lackluster although you get what you pay for. His ability is also very situational and therefore probably quite underused. But I guess he would add some flavour to a Dale army at least.

I love the Girion model. He makes a fine centerpiece for a Dale-themed army.
But then again, I care more about theme than building army lists based of maximum efficiency.

Pure Dale force is hard, they look awesome though... as for irion, hes worth his cost compared to a random captain and get his extra special rule for free (which is payed after since you need the bow to use that skill anyway)

On the field hes a good mid "support" type fo heroe, he can´t hold fights that great but hes not that awfull at all..

good thing on Girion despite all is that hes the best shooting value model you got in Dale and the only that can lead archers without losing efficient having bow unlike other captains....

His stat line sucks. Totally boring leader and his special rule only involves monsters or flying creatures or something. Totally pointless unless you know who youre fighting
