The model could be from the Jouney supplenent that never saw the light of day covering Aragorns adventures.

And it's in metal too! They do look like nice minis, but just like a few others mentioned on here; if they were released during the time it was made they would be last on my wishlist. Too many Aragorn models than needed.

I have owned them for about 2 years, so I am doubtful that they will get released at all, unless GW are really desperate for a new release. With the Hobbit getting all the love at the moment, I doubt it will happen soon, if at all.

Why has this not been released??? It would be great for Rohan players.

I think it can be said with some degree of certainty that GW don't give a toss about Rohan players

Will you be painting it, DMS? Also, out of curiosity what would the legality of casting this up would be? It isn't technically a GW piece, or certainly it wouldn't deprive them of revenue. It just irks me that the coolest Aragorn model since Heroes of Helm's Deep will go unknown.

Considering (& no offense meant) it is firmly in UK collectors clutches I'd saw the odds of replication are ziltch

I wasn't necessarily meaning this specific one, but in case of the (miniscule) chance I ever come across one of these unproduced minis I was wondering the legal situation.

Probably the same as any other Gw mini, GW/NLP is on the base tab. Its part of their intellectual property

If you are talking about making a single copy for use while playing the game to protect the original from damage you might be okay depending on how the laws are written in your country. If you are talking about producing multiples for others and/or profit you would be braking the law in most countries.

Not for sale, just for personal use as you said. In this instance I'd obviously just need one, but in the event of an Orc or other unreleased troop model coming out I would potentially do up a few. Again, not for sale or anything like that.

It all depends, I suppose, on whether GW commissions the sculptor or if it's done by an in-house guy. Also the terms of the deal I guess.

And just to clarify my stance, I don't care if its illegal, I want one and would settle for a copy for display only.

Not to revive an old topic, but I think something important was asked and never answered. What minis could be used to produce a similar mini? The first and simplest answer I came up with was use the body of a rohirrim warrior and head swap it with the gorn of your choice. For a stat line (unofficial of course) I recommend a 100 pt line up utilizing eomer's stats (touting a boosted atk and wound to 3 each) and include eorl's special rule legendary hero. This would provide an inexpensive alternative to aragorn and represent the ranger at a younger stage in life prior to the peak of his career.

To get a similar pose to the mounted model, the unarmoured Theoden model might be useful. Swap the head for an Aragorn head, sculpt on armour and a bow & quiver.
