They could proxy for Osgiliath among other things. Nice work!

Well Who ever made those buildings into ruins, either time or siege, they destroyed the buildings in such a clean and precise manner. But they will fit the need on a table top.

Yeah, if I had more storage space I'd make some proper resin ruins, soon but not yet ;)

I quickly painted up a Watcher in the Water from Lord of the Rings, I won him new in box from eBay for £28 which was cool as he's £44 normally.

After a few attempts at building him with legs I tore them back off and made him coming out of the water as he should have been! Silly people at GW who decided to give him crab legs.

I experimented with UHU glue to create the dripping water coming off his tentacles and then realised that when pooled it goes bubbly... so a load of it went on the base! BUBBLES! One day I'll create a "How to create miniature Bubbles for bases". One day.

I like what you have done with this Tim, it looks great.
I've used UHU for saliva in mouths and it's great to use. I like the bubbles idea.
Have you tried using clear silicone, the stuff you use on bathrooms ?
It's great for creating splashes, just work a small amount with a toothpick.

I love how you make it look like it has juts come out of the water.

Never tried it, to be honest it's really rare I have water on bases. You'll notice a theme of desert bases on all my 40k and fantasy stuff ;) and then my dwarves are on rock haha.
I have some sort of silicone glue from my mother ( she makes cards) so that might work. I'll have a play :)

Thanks everyone!

Oh there's a video on my YouTube channel of a 360 spin of the watcher:

Some of the glue strands look a bit to web-like, but the overall water effect is pretty cool. Definitely a dark and spooky watcher.

Great version of this nasty piece of slime, much improved by the lack of legs and I like the dark paint scheme you've used 8)

Marvellous! It's one of those scenes that sticks in the mind and then there is always the question, what happened to the Watcher after the War of the Ring?

Don't think it's mentioned anywhere what happens to him, this is what is mentioned on lotr wiki

Eventually, Moria was reclaimed by the Dwarves of Durin's Folk under Durin VII who became King of Durin's Folk and of Khazad-dûm and lived there ever after.

I presume hey probably killed it off then!

Looks great Tim. I'm not a fan of the legs either. Love what you've done with it!!!

Wow, I missed quite a bit this last month! I just took a quick look through the last couple of pages and everything looks good. The Barlow and the eagles are excellent, and the watcher in the water is just incredible. 8)
