Fantastic! Looks really diseased and freaky. Quality paint-job - the eyes in particular have so much character in them! :yay:

Thanks for the replies. I've got the paint review up on my blog.
I will now start batch painting these in groups of 5 so I can get through them. Depending how I feel, I might do a dwarf after each batch to give me some difference.
On another note I'm close to starting work on my own painting area, not the kitchen table. I'm hoping to have that fully completed in the next few weeks as this will allow me to paint more as I will be in the same room as everyone else.
More painting time is a good thing, despite all EFGT I have two special figures to paint up, Gokan for CMON competition and another special one which I will tell you more at another time.

Hi Mally,

some very neat work there on the goblins! The transitions between the different shades are very smooth, well done! 8) I also like the different colours you used, looks very creepy in a good way... What are you going to do about the bases?
I am obviously looking forward to the special miniature too. ;)
Cheers,
Bennet

They simply won't be on their bases. All will be detached and fixed to the diorama.

His irises–well his eyes in general–make him look menacing, evil, and flesh him out perfectly! Great job!

I can see the contrast in Gandalf's coat - nice work. And Balin's face is perfect. I don't think I've seen goblins with that colour scheme before. It gives a great contrast with the eyes and mouth and makes the facial features really pop. Can't wait to see the whole bunch painted up!

Nice unique take on the Goblins. I think they are almost amphibian looking which suits their cold and damp cave homes.

The purple on the Goblins looks really good. Very eye catching look with those.

Nice take on the sickly Goblin skin, the purple works rather well indeed.

They look great. I read your review for the Scale 75 paint series, very thorough. How are they in price comparison to others?

As the skin set was a new release they were £23 for the set, other sets around £20, so for me they are roughly in the same ball park as Vallego.
