Hello all, I was wondering about which one of those lists would be more competitive, please do not kill me as they are not themed, I just do not know which one should be better, if a bit more numbers or better heroes.

4 Wood elves with Spear and bow

Warband 2
Rumil
8 Wood elves with Spear
4 Wood elves with Spear and bow

Warband 3
Damrod
10 Minas with Shield
2 Minas with Spear and Shield

Warband 4
Eowyn
12 Rohan warriors with shield

Second Choice:

Warband 1
Twins
7 Arnor
4 Rangers with Spear

Warband 2
Rumil with Elven cloak
8 Wood elves with Spear
4 Wood elves with Bow and Spear

Warband 3
Eorl the young
12 Rohan Warriors with shield

Third choice:

Warband 1
Arathorn
7 Arnor
4 Rangers with Spear

Warband 2

8 Wood elves with Spear
4 Wood elves with Bow and Spear

Warband 3
Erkenbrand
12 Rohan Warriors with shield

Warband 4

Id say three.....except instead somehow include Thranduil as opposed to Rumil. You already have plenty of combat prowess with your heroes.

Any more questions? I can comment a lot, but Id rather answer your specific questions.

Honestly if I were you, Id just go the route of Rohan, and Wood Elves together.

Your Gondor element in the first army doesnt do much for me, and the Arnor element is unecessary, and their regular troops are weak unless you make a whole army.

Do you have many restrictions?

Like for example, I will write you an army Id like to do if I were you, but Id include Riders of Rohan, etc

Tbh I'd say none of them are too great. Your Rohan, Gondor, Arnor don't bring anything to your force really. They're far weaker than your elves and just really serve as juicy targets to kill; they do boost your numbers a little but not enough to justify bringing them IMO.

As LOTBR said Riders of Rohan or even Gondor Knights would be better options as they do bring something else to the table beyond lesser versions of what you already have. Warriors of Minas Tirith and Rohan are only worth it if you truly hoard them

I do not have any cavalry and do not really find them worth the price, are easily counterable and bring down numbers. I like Arnor because of the fight 4, defence 6 and spear but also the reason that they allow you to bring the twins without using high elves, that do no perform really well because of the numbers, in my opinion. Basically Arnor allow me to bring good heroes without lowering the numbers, same for Minas as they are just in front of the elves with spears, with defence 6. And since the only problem against elves are elves, for me, so having defence 6 is worth, that' s why I would not like wood elves with rohan only.

You can make a competitive elves force with rohan, I do not know how to make it with cavalry because I do not use them, but I am curious :)

That^

Here's what I would do:

Warband 1-
Thranduil
8 wood elves with spear
4 with bow and spear

Warband 2-
Legolas, Armor and Elven Cloak(leader)
8 wood elves with spear
4 with bow

Warband 3-
Erkenbrand with horse
9 Westfold Redshields 2 with throwing spears

If you want to do something more your style explain exactly what you want....because I sat here trying to think....but theres problems...you seem to want elves, but higher defense, and also more units....this at 600 is improbable.

I can suggest to you an all wood elf force, with one warband of men, or a force with minis tirith and elves, but no Rohan....which do you prefer.

With what you want, at 600, its not coming out well in terms of numbers.

Yeah my question at start was about the first 3 choices, which one people prefer. Than you said that no one of them was good and so I was curious about why, only that :)

Wood elves and rohan are not very fond of eachother though as themed wise, and neither elves with dwarves unless facing a common threat.

I understand his reason of Rumil, he want something nasty in combat to denie the 1s rolls of 6s your oponent gets, means they will have to work twice as harder to laid low rumil´s defences.

Although I also vote for that, Lord is correct saying Thranduil might better, his passive magic cast here and then might benefit more all those around him and also several enemies. As in fact, Rúmil can´t be everywhere.

If you want a more focussed on elves, Lorien/mirkwood offers an ample choice of very powerfull heroes, good core units to be field in numbers /more than heavily armoured ones that is) and of the few best cav in the game that also charge through terrain.

I kinda get what youre saying Galanur, but you can easily make a Rohan Wood Elf force with Legolas, Haldir, etc.

And if you read he said competitive not fluffy.

I get what youre saying though......

No no no man....its not that theyre not good...they can just be better....Here's what Id do if I were you. Theres these choices. Take wood elves with only Rohan, Gondor, or Arnor individually.

For example.......

Wood Elves, and lots of Rohan on foot spammed.....but you get low defense.

Wood Elves, and Gondor(take Ithilien Guard, and Itilien Rangers because then your whole army is woodland creature! Id suggest this force the most)

Wood Elves, the Twins, and Arnor.

One of those three. Which sounds best to you?

out of your first list though, number 3....
