There was expanded rules for ents in White Dwarf years ago. Would any of you happen to remember which number it was? I have tried to search this, but no luck so far.

Also, as I don't know much about the rules set, if you have it, I would like to hear if it's any use. I believe there was rules for different kinds of ents, depending what kind of tree it was, and some additional ent heroes..?

Somehow these rules have intriqued me a few years now. I know it's probably not much, a few extra rules in WD style, but still. I appreciate all help hunting this down!

It's in WD 282 and reprinted in The Best of the White Dwarf Magazine 2. It has rules for different species of ents - birch, hawthorn, fir, willow, beech, oak and ash. The special species costs a bit more and each gets some special rule. There is also a profile for general ent, but that has been replaced by the ent profile in some later rulebook.

Thanks for your help guys! Now I don't even have to hunt that old issue! Fun rules, indeed. There's no additional heroes, though. But I thought adding 1M 3W 1F to the regular ent warrior for 25 points would suffice for an generic ent captain.

A nice collection of old articles, by the way. I will definitely go through the rest of them, too.
