I thought it was pretty candid.

the only thing I really got out of that was that the wolves would be different to wargs, that the first film is going to be the hobbit book, and the second bridging the gap leading up to lotr.

I do not like the idea of having wolves other than wargs...but, it can't ba to bad.

I just hope the talking and singing doesn't get out of hand. All I care about is that they remain faithful to the narrative, but I want the atmosphere and character types to be the same as the other movies. I really don't want this to be a kids movie at all, not one bit.

reminds me to my kids-years...
I watched Stephen King's 'It' when I was about 7 years old and home alone for an evening. I was to scared to move and didn't dare taking the remote control to switch the channel.
When I went to bed, upstairs, there was first a TL-light (white tubes...) with a very bad starter, so it flickered a dfew times first... WHenever the light flickered on, I saw things moving around in the room... and when it was finally on, I checked the whole room, closet and under the bed... my heart was beating as loud and as fast as Slayer's drums performing live playing Angel of Death... eheh...

Apart from that, I think the movie will be ace

I really can't wait to see how these movies will come out. After reading through the chat log it seems they are going the right way keeping the spirit of PJs trilogy, using the same sort of solutions (locations, actours, technology, etc.), of course, adapting it to Gillermo and this movie.

So, how long till 2011? :lol:

I cannot wait to see how this all comes together!
The only things I have any concerns about are that they mentioned Gollum being 60 years younger and that the Wargs are going to be more wolf-like. I just hope they don't do anything like what Lucas did with Yoda in Episode One of Star Wars; Gollum is roughly 529 years old at the time of The Hobbit so I hope they don't try to make him look too much younger than he looks in LotR. As for the Wargs/wolves...they are (in my mind) the same animal. Going by what Tolkien wrote you can see how he interchanged the names of this beast multiple times throughout the story as is the case when he mentions Goblins and Orc throughout his tales. So, I can see the Warg Chieftain that leads the group of Wargs/wolves made to speak...maybe make it more intelligent that the others, or even make it speak in it's own language and while Gandalf and the others are in the trees have Gandalf translate what they ware saying to the others. There are ways around keeping Wargs the same for the consistency of the films while still pursuing the talking Wargs. Just my 2 cents.

I noticed that when I was reading the transcript just now - thats as good as saying the second film will be the Fall of the Necromancer isn't it?

I think it is very good of them to do this. I've just read through the film script and they've got a good view of what they want to do , and it does look very promising top me!
