Minas Morgul and Carn Dum, as Azog said. That's my guess. By the way Koansean, you should name it "Brian, The Director, Sean, and Ingold take in turns to answer questions. :D "

Right, a bit of a two-parter this one.

One of my favourite bit of the books in when the Fellowship are attacked by the "Watcher in the Water"

What I want to know is :-

(a) What is the name of the River that was partly dammed to make the Watchers Pool.

(b) The door that Gandalf managed to open was called the Doors of Durin,
but this entrance way to the mines had another name. What was It ?

This is a blur for me if I try and remember what happened in he books. I know the answer to (b) - thats the Westgate of Moria, as it was literally the western most gate into the Dwarven realm.

I don't remember hearing the name of the river I'm afraid

I believe Sean is correct with both his answers...
Quote:
What is the name of the River that was partly dammed to make the Watchers Pool.

Answer: The Sirannon

Quote:
The door that Gandalf managed to open was called the Doors of Durin, but this entrance way to the mines had another name. What was It ?

Answer: 5 possible answers...
The Western Door
The West Door
The Western Gate
The West Gate
But I think the answer you are looking for may be The Hollin Gate?

You are correct Brian, that was what I was looking for.

The Hollin Gate

It is always a bit awkward when things have several names for them
but your answer was the one I was looking for... Sorry Sean :(
