I'm wondering that because there is this guy who is at Games Workshop every single time I go, and I'm not sure that he has a job... but he got a £10,000 loan and spent it all on Games Workshop and Forge World stuff. I love Warhammer, and I could see myself spending quite a lot on it.. but that is just plain weird, right?

If I had a £10,000 loan, well, I wouldn't get a loan to buy models. :)

But if I didn't have to give it back.. such as me being given £10,000, I'd spend it on lots of Gondor stuff and Mordor Stuff.. and well.. stuff.. and another Mumak or 3.

Well if I got £10,000 (roughly $14,252 USD) gift, I'd pay off some debts and then go on vacation. If it was a £10,000 loan...I wouldn't take it unless it had a 0% APR. :D

That kind of loan? I'd pay it right back off or refuse it. Not a fan of debt.

If I was given that amount, I'd use it to pay off my other two loans and then part of another semester of school.

Where is your store? If I took out a loan like that, it would be to start manufacturing my own models.

He isn't a staff member, he's just at GW every time I go.

Man, I wish I'd ONLY spent £10,000 on this hobby...

Then I'd have a lot more space.

The guy that bought the stuff with the loan must have been a CEO from an American bank with his TARP money in his wallet. It must have been burning a whole in his pants on the flight over and he thought it was a good investment.
No worries though, we can bail him out again

If I had a big loan, I'd buy a house and put my kids through school and (eventually) through university. I'd also get my garden landscaped and install a swimming pool.

Oh wait, I've already done that.

If only my loan was a mere £10K.

Hmmm... If i had a loan I would pay it off straight away.

If i was given 10,000 dollars I would donate it to the Australian Red cross. The current bushfire situation is horrible over here in victoria. I am lucky that our house has suffered no damage in it. Feel horrible for my friends and neighbours who have lost so much though.

If I had a 10K loan, I wouldn't even accept it. Never been in debt, and hopefully never will!
Although if I were GIVEN 10K, then I'd spend a couple hundred maximum on the hobby, and the rest save it for college. Are you sure he doesn't work at the GW, and are you sure he wasn't lying? Because that is truly stupid of an adult to do, especially with the messed up economy. Haha Geezer of Rhun

I have to point out that £10,000 is not as valuable as it used to be, before that shower of bankers and their greedy friends ruined the world economy. Send them back to the Abyss!

(Dorth does a quick calculation: at £12/box and allow £0.50 per box for paint/glue/basing material, that is 800 boxes of, say orcs/Morannon orcs, or 19200 bad guys.... hmmm....)
