Regrettably, no GW Grand Tournaments for 2009
Due to some restructuring within the business it has been decided that we will not be hosting or running any Games Workshop Grand Tournaments in the US this year.”
We know this will come as a disappointment to many who have enjoyed the resurgence in the GWGTs over the past two years, and as such this isn’t a decision we have entered into lightly.
This will give us the opportunity to step back and develop an even better experience and overall tournament circuit that will be able to apply to all of North America for 2010.
In the meantime, we heartily encourage anyone looking to get their tournament fix in to participate in the remaining shows on the GW Tournament circuit as well as the other great independent tournament and events that will take place throughout the rest of 2009.

It's certainly an odd move for a company that should be pushing to maintain its core of dedicated customers. On the other hand, I had neither the time nor money to travel to multiple events. If it wasn't scheduled close to me, I could really make it.
