Very, very nice Kris :) Love those smooooth transitions on the NMM and sleeves. Nice blending on the eyes

The only thing I'm bothered with is the feet of the sculpt - man it looks like he's wearing flippers ><

I've realized I'm not too happy with the base, I think I'll re-base him..

Yeah, now when I think about it, the base looks a bit weird...

Here we go, I'm much more pleased. I really prefer the round lotr bases as well.

Superb painting - the face is simply amazing, especially the eyes.

Amazing work Kris 8)

How'd you paint the wood on the inside of the shield?

The shield was painted with scorched brown and bestial brown. Skull white for highlighting.

Busy like a bee, here comes the next WiP Warhammer. Lotr has hit a standstill, I got three more WH heroes to finish :O

Your soul is saved from eternal damnation only by your painting talent - painting WH before LotR - (Dorth blows huge raspberry)
Look at the size of the sword on that last one! But then hack it off and replace with a proper elven blade.... hmm :)

Et voilà!

My aim was to integrate the miniature to it's base and make it look as if he was emerging with the forest itself at his side, in true wood elf fashion :)

Keep truckin' OR.

Kris

Excellent! Your style is very unique and recognisable - it has a certain 'oil-painting' feel to it. Your work is not appreciated enough on CMON... but that's the way it goes I suppose...

Thanks guys!

Have I abandoned Lotr - nay! It's just that I'm making a living by painting this summer, and WH simply sells better than lotr. Unfortunately we are a minority in hobby games :-X

Here's the next one

Looking awesome again Kris! Out of curiosity, how high do put your starting price on your minis for ebay?

I have loads of old WHF heroes I'd like to get rid of, and maybe selling them off through ebay isn't a bad idea...

Depending on the miniature, between 100$-120$. But I have noticed the market is less eager at the moment, maybe it's because it's summer, maybe it's the recession..

If you're interested in trading those WHF heroes for lotr miniatures, you can check out my trade thread John.
