Wow looks like you have been busy there mate.

Good luck with the Golden Demon entry, I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Just a little note on your drummer troll, the highlights on one of the biceps look a bit sharp, you might want to touch that up a bit.

But otherwise keep up the good work 8)

The Hasharin is great, especially the design on the hood! 8)

Nice work on the Hasharin! 8)

And I love the converted banner bearer! :yay:
Though it's a shame you can't add a bit of texture to his back (it looks quite flat and boring). Perhaps you could stick a shield on him, as if it's slung round his back?

Massive update ;)

Heh, good luck with GD I don't own any legal rights to colour scheme ...lol :D Though If You want to enter it I suggest starting off again. Basecoat of white is to thick to my recognition and it will make all other efforts much less impressive ;)

The only real reason I used white is because it is easier to paint the cloak and does look a bit better, and I really can't be bothered starting over, as i have just about finished :)

Massive Update Again! :-D

I have almost finished the Hasharin which just needs to be cleaned up of any spills and add a few more highlights where needed:

I ave also made a Movement Tray for my Mordor Catapult, Im thinking about adding some more detail in the corners where there is just empty space:

I still havn't finished assembling the Catapult but started anyway. I have also painted 1 Crew Member :D

Image

Since I am not using the Rock Loader Troll in War of the Ring I have converted it! :D

Image

I used the spare pieces left over from the Drummer Troll and cut off the thing on the Isengard Troll's Helmet so that it won't so much look like it's from Isengard. :)

Image

I have started painting the first company/batch of Morannon Orcs but have only painted the Armour so far:

That is a very clever way of converting your catapult troll.

Well done :yay:

The idea behind the Troll conversion is good, but I don't think it translates to well in practise. Due to the pose of the Troll Loader, you now have a Mordor Troll that seems to be looking up into the sky. Now, that's fine if he is fighting Ents or Giant Eagles, but it will look a bit 'off' versus infantry.

In order to create a more natural pose, I'd suggest removing the head, and either trimming it at an angle to bring the top of the head forwards when it is placed against the neck, or building up behind it with greenstuff to create a similar effect. You really want the Troll to be at least looking horizontally, although looking downwards would be much better.

I agree. Or you could have some arrows sticking into his chest above the armor it might give him an "ouch, that really hurt" kinda look. :)

Nice idea with the Troll conversion, but as already mentioned it needs a little work.

Looking forward to seeing more of those Morannon Orcs!

Then why is his mouth shut? :P

The arrows is a good idea. Another thing that would be cool is to add some casualties to the base. 8)

Fantastic use of the extra parts of the troll kit, Gorgoroth, a very creative conversion. I agree, however, that a head reposition is in order. Also, it looks slightly odd how he is leaning forward at an angle, it seems that he would have trouble staying upright due to his weight. Perhaps you could have his non weapon holding hand placed on a rock to steady the model?
