A pretty dark, poor picture, but I only took it to send to my client:
Anyway I have this crazy idea for the back cloak, something I saw on another farseer, a freehanded portrait of the Avatar. Should be fun!

Magnificent as always, Kristoffer. :yay:
Getting a miniature painted to your standard must cost a fortune...

My infectious warhammer presence continues:

As mentioned earlier, this is a commission piece for an Eldar collector, he wanted the Biel Tan colour scheme on it. I got the inspiration for the cloak from another farseer I saw on CMoN.

Nice work once again Kris. The avatar should be a nice mini to showcase your freehand skill on. All those large areas... Mmmmm.

Not a very clear picture, but you might get the idea of how it will look. Lava-like.

A very hard miniature to paint, it might break me, hehe =)

8) Looking great!

I don't think though that you painted this mineature but you went to Mount Doom and stole some lava to sculpt the face

I love your thread! Keep on!

Kris, that's some great stuff. I wish I could paint even half that good....how much time did you spend on just that? :?

Don't really keep track of time, but a couple of hours probably on the face.
The lava-effect is tricky, but I think the end result will look pretty sweet.
