Okay.......let's see....

I don't plan on starting WOTR any time soon, but I am about to spend $130 on a starter WOTR army to sell painted on Ebay. I'm 14 and a fairly good painter, so this is a good way for me to make money. I've done this before, and painted LOTR figs sell like hotcakes.

So...for $130 or less, what would you recommend for a starter WOTR army? I was originally going to get the figs I thought looked coolest, but decided people would be looking for playability too.

I won't try to go into a dollar by dollar count, but most Mordor armies are very likely to include ringwraiths, gothmog, mordor orcs, morannon orcs, and trolls. Warg riders, troll chieftains, and winged nazgul seem to be a little less common from what I have seen, despite being good choices for an army. If looking at specific ringwraiths, Khamul and the Shadowlord seem to be some of first picked, despite the fact that the latter is one I would certainly never reccomend. I haven't seen many at all go for mordor uruks, and the only legendary formation's hero that seems popular is Grishnakh but orc trackers are expensive models.

I would say Gothmog + 1 ringwraith + 2 boxes of mordor orcs + 1 box of morannon orcs + 1 troll would make a good starter force using many of the common choices. Not sure if all of that would fit into your budget.

which you could use for some formation upgrades (like a drummer/taskmaster blister for example). this would give you're buyers some more options

I just ordered two sets of Morannon Orcs. Believe me, they'll sell for about $100 painted and then I can get all the stuff War_Illitihid suggested, since I've already got $45.
