Why would you pay for a pony AND an Elven cloak to begin with?
Also, to echo, you may NOT use a 2h-weapon while mounted and anything that isn't a warg runs away as soon as the rider is gone.
Also, yes, you have a fast moving 2-h weapon... which needs to take a courage test before charging and is still only a Hobbit.
And I don't know if I'd want Lobelia to be such a target on a horse anyway...
I mean, if you houserule that horses stay, that's all well and good. But I don't see a large advantage to this re-mounting or a way to make it better.
hmmm im not sure about that.
A) you would take the elven cloak so merry is hidden from view when unmounted.
B)There is a rule that lets you keep mounts in if your opponent agrees. It is in scenario specific rules. Also where does ot state you cant have a two handed weapon on a horse. Gandalf has.
C) You would hide lobelia until there force is breaking and by that time the hobbit archers will have taken out most of the enemy bowfire.
D) It is not a houserule
