Thanks! :) I gave special attention to it, to show off that I had been painting. ;)

:-D

I'll probably have this set finished before too long, Boromir's next on the agenda. 8)

Nice painting Josh, they look really great. I really like Legolas' cloak, I guess all of that hard work paid off :)

Legolas - The cloak and hair are very nice, but the flesh looks a bit flat, especially on his hands.
I quite like the green though, 8) the highlights are very good - mind sharing what colours you used?

Thanks Billy and Elessar

I have to say, my main weakness is painting human--or dwarvish, or elvish--skin. I'll have to try and work on that, I agree the skin isn't that good....

As for Legolas' tunic color, sure! I started off with a mix of Knarloc Green/Catachan Green/Chaos Black 40/50/10. Then I added Camo Green and Bleached Bone for highlights. 8)

Legolas is great. My one problem with him, or it could be the lighting, is that part of his foot seems to be covered in gray. The base could use some more highlighting to fit in more with the well painted mini. Boromir is coming along very nicely and so is Frodo.

You're right, I missed that myself. I'll repaint his foot later today. :) Thanks for pointing that out.

Update: (I swear this camera makes me want to break it sometimes. It's lost power again. The sun also just came up over here, so the lighting is all wrong. :(

I've had difficulty with pictures in the past. It might work better if you put them on a desk and used reading lamps for lighting.
Boromir looks great. His facial expressions fit him perfectly. Frodo is also great. The face is really great as is the rest of the body, you even capture Sting's glow though it could use a little tint of blue.
Gandalf's base looks interesting, are you depicting "pool" at the entrance to Moria?

Whoops! Forgot to add link. Ambush at Amon-Hen sold for $84.99 and the Fellowship set is still up for auction. Currently at $93.99. :D

I had no idea you could make so much selling minis on ebay. Good luck with the second auction!
