Hello all... I'm about to try the final vines for the ruin piece... so hope to do that on or before the weekend.

In the mean time, I've been reading up on others ideas on paint racks for the workspace... space savers and organizers... and I've decided to build one... out of 5mil foam core!! It's already strengthened enough just structurally... which I was wondering about, but I know built right, the foam wouldn't matter... so I've included some photos of it here. If anyone wants some dimensions and plans, I will write them out... I know it's no masterpiece though...

The end pieces will go on tomorrow and will help to strengthen the entire thing greatly.

So, my plan is to finish assembly and spray paint it with stone effects paint... which will also help to harden the entire thing. I'll update with the final look of the whole thing.

It looks great and the painting will make it look all the better, great idea. Good luck finishing and hopefully it won't fall apart when you load it up.

Okay, so I did finish that paint rack, and other than some minor issues, it's worked out splendidly. It's strong due to the proper reinforcing and overall design.

My biggest disappointment is that the paper cover of the foamcore peeled some due to a heavy and quite "wet" layer of spray on stone effects acrylic paint which wrinkled the paper in spots and pealed it off quite a bit on the end pieces, which you will see. I was so excited to get it on my bench that I haven't put a touch of glue to fix that yet, but I will. It's perfect and all for about $0.50 worth of foam and about $0.50 worth of glue.

If anyone would like to know more about how I did this or to get some plans... PM me and I'll draw something up for you! :)

Nice Job! I should really get around to doing something like this myself. Got about a hundred pots kicking about which I have to sort through every time before moving the required colors to my painting tray.

It looks very good. That's one useful paint. Enjoy using it.

Wow! I need me one of those....my current "paint rack" is waaaaayyy too big and takes up too much space (room for 250+ paints, and I only have 50-odd.) Looks fantastic!
