Cool!

Very nice work on the king, too. :)

but I don't really want to paint it with just pure white, anyone have some ideas?

Maybe a purplish tint.

Which one is it? White council, or the one that comes in the blister with Celeborn and the well-fountain-thingy?

:?

Sweet job on the KoM! You're improving extremely fast :D

As for the Galadriel, I agree with Anduril... a slight purple-ish tint could yield marvelous results ;)

Thanks guys :D

The Galadriel is the one where she is holding up her hand 8)

A purple colour sounds nice, I have seen one painted like that, it was an entry in Golden Demon, oh and the Grand Final for Golden Demon was on the 14th but I'm not sure who won.

I still haven't recieved the Galadriel yet :-X but Faramir in Armour and Sam from the Breaking of the Fellowship box set arived today, so I am painting Faramir ATM and I am planning to write an article on how to paint him :-D

I have also bought the following models off eBay:

Gandalf on Rock

Galadriel and Celeborn with the Mirror of Galadriel Blister

Gollum Eating Fish

Galadriel (hand raised) (I am selling this one)

Frodo Leaning on Tree Stump, Sam lighting a campfire, Weathertop Campfire, Merry and Pippin

:D

You've got two galadriels? If you put them close together, they can be giving each other a hi five!

Good work with the king by the way, if I already haven't said so. :)

Good job on the king. I especially like the gems but the whole mini is done really well. But what are those blotches under the collar?

You could try a more off-white color, with hints of brown and yellow in it. Mac did this and it looked slpendid. http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/album_ ... ic_id=7771

Hope that helps :)

Hey guys, another update after 3 weeks in the UK

I bought 4 box sets (Easterlings, Army of the Dead, Knights of Minas Tirith, Warriors of Minas Tirith), 7 infantry movement trays , 2 cavalry movement trays and a blister of Captains of Minas Tirith. :D

The 3 Gondorian boxes and command blister are being added to my Gondor army, because my Mordor Army is getting pretty big and I want a force that can match it and also, an army of Gondor can go with my Minas Tirith that I am building. 8)

So far I have assembled the Minas Tirith Warriors, the Captain and Banner Bearer, and all of the Army of the Dead, I have also assembled the horses of the Knights. I have nearly finished the captain, who just needs some finishing off. 8)

I have started painting the Dead, they are actually really easy and fast to paint, and turn out great in the end. So far I have completely finished 5 of them (including the King of the Dead which I had already bought) and have nearly finished the other 4. :D

C&C welcome :)

I have enough movement trays for my Mordor army and also my Gondor army, so I guess I'm set for a "small" War of the Ring game

(that isn't all of the army)

Well, I didn't prime them with Black or White, instead I used Shadow Grey, then heavily drybrushed (basically layered) them with Codex Grey. After that I drybrushed them with Fortress Grey, then gave them a wash of Thraka Green (I actually don't have Thraka Green, so I just watered down some Dark Angels Green). Once again I drybrushed them with Fortress Grey and finally painted the beards with Vomit Brown

Hope it helps
