I have just ordered the Mines of Moria Hobby set from my local hobby stockist along with the Fellowship book.

I notice the book I have ordered is called FotR 'Sourcebook' (HardCover) as opposed to another similar book FotR 'Journeybook' that is on the GW website.

Are these 2 books the same ? They have a different cover.

The price was right on both MoM set and the book, but have I bought an out of date book ?

Cheers,
Arthur

Thanks for that Donuthare.

I think they must be 2 totally different books? Unless one is an earlier version?

I have no idea, I am new to all this.

Cheers,

Arthur

Its possible one may be from the original LotR:SBG boxed set (there were also Two Towers and Return of the King versions) that contained the core rules before being superceded by The One Ring rulebook. The other may be the Journey book, of which there were also journey books for the other two films/stories?

I looked at your post on the book order to get started. I think the book you ordered The Fellowship Of The Ring for LORSBG is 96 pages
Our young hobbit friend may be correct the hardback source book may be an art book. However,The LOR Roleplaying Game The Fellowship Of The Ring Sourcebook is Hardback and 128 pages. I think the current rule book is the only hardback version of the rules.
