If it helps to keep him in-theme, than stick with a normal bow ;)
I agree that extra arrows would be unbalanced (unless they cost a ridiculous amount) and unthematic.
W00t! However, at the beginning, it needs to say "Once per game: blah blah blah" :D

Well if he dosen't have a long bow then he isn't even as good as Haldir who I'm sure isn't supposed to be as good as Bard.

suds4ever: Haldir may not be as good as Bard (I haven't read the trilogy, lol :P ), but that doesn't have anything to do with the weapon that they use ;)

Did Thorin really have Barathanzul? Well I suppose he must have as he was the king of Erebor. I think again that he is underpriced in both profiles. Thorin Oakenshield costs a fuzz more than Gimli and he is quiiiite a bit better. Perhaps also give him an extra rule representing the relationship between him and Bard.

Greed and pride: Thorin cannot benefit from any heroic actions called by Bard.

Yes, you could add him in as well. Perhaps he could have "King under the Mountain" rule as well.

And I would make his courage 7 as well.

I always assumed the axe his is described as using at the BoFA is Barazantathul. I will add five points to Oakenshield, but apart from the attacks and wounds, his base profile is actually worse then Gimli's.

Greed and Pride won't do much-even if they're in the same army, Thorin will probably be in another place.

I forgot about King under the Mountain. How about 15 points for that and C7?

Yup, sounds good. Even though his other stats are slightly worse than Gimli's, he does have more wounds and attacks which make a big difference.

Would you lease post some of your profiles in the house of profiles please?
Their excellent.

EDIT: maybe you could change the rules of the Oakenshield to the ones of 'Shields of the Tower', you know like shagrat's shield.

I would increase Thorin Oakshield's Defence by one, and also increase Thorin, King Under the Mountain's Fate by one.

Raggbur: I like Thorin's Oakenshield like it is-he is mentioned as using it as a club and to ward of enemy attacks, so I think it should work like that. I'll post a few of them in the house when I have some time.
General Elessar: He is only wearing normal armour, So he only gets D7, and for the other one, he dies basically a week after getting proclamed King, so I don't give him any fate.

Then give him Dwarf Heavy Armour. Why would Gimli have higher defence than Thorin?

I would still give him one fate. There are very few GW Heroes with no fate.

He can already can get heavy armour-for 5 points as a option.
Boromir of Gondor is the same and from the Council of Elrond all the way to Amon Hen is way longer then a week.

If you look at it that way, fair enough.
