whoa, sweet, whats the white material you used for the walls?
i think you make the best small scale dioramas, how do you get so much detail into everything?
keep up the good work

@Noddwyr - Thanks man. Drawing just helps me remember all the crazy stuff better.:)

@Haldir_pl- BIG thanks dude. The capital letters are intended. Your comments motivates me even more. Closeups are in the video link.

@Ranger of Gondor- Hey thanks man. Below is the latest update.

@Oldman Willow-You can use either. I'm using oils since I have plenty of it. Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it.

@garmenhord- Thanks for commenting. I try to take some ideas from the book, the movie and also throw in my own ideas in.
Yes, the recordings does really help me remember what colors I use sometimes.

@theavenger001-Thank you sir. I've got the Ent painted below.

@King Elessar the Uniter- Many thanks for following this thread sir. If you enjoyed it then I would feel satisfied with the project.

@Fall of Fingolfin- Thanks mate. The sketches and brainstorming really helps before I start.

Here's the original Tree giant vs the modified version on the right.

I did a number of modifications for the figure especially the right arm and facial expression. Of course the arrows were added to give more story to the Ent. Also I got the dead orc painted in the video as well. Someone mentioned about the length of the arrows should be shorter. I did shorten the arrows but not too short. I figured arrows would not penetrate as deep since the Ents have tougher skin just like tree bark. What do you guys think?

I explained all the changes on my article below guys.

The Stand alone video of the process is here: Don't miss this. I spend many hours on it.

Thanks for the support everyone. The orcs are next. :-D

I almost thot everything was gone with the updates for one-ring...

I finally got my Orc commander painted. I opted to go for a brighter skin tone for this Lurtz figure and without the face paint.
I'm using this character as a different Orc commander for my diorama. I just added a skull to this miniature and did not do much modifications. I stayed away from metallic paints for this one as with my previous miniatures.

Here's the link to my WIP video and color scheme:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qau_gwpVaHk

Btw I broke the sword on this miniature and had to reattach it . Here's how I restored it back to full glory.

Lurtz is great. I'm especially impressed by the amount of detail on his face.

nice face-expression on Lurtz! Great job!

Love how you turned the "hand" of the ent to a rather defensive pose! Nice one!
Well done mate!

Thanks so much for the comments on Lurtz guys. I really appreciate it. It's been more a month since my last post.
I've been busy dealing with some family tragedies but now I'm back to post the completed diorama for Isengard. :D

I have painted a number of orcs to populate the finished Isengard dio. Finally I decided not to include Saruman and Grima( You see I listen sometimes too) lol. I'll make a special diorama for them later.

I've edited the pictures and videos into a one minute video on Isengard. I hope you all will like it. Comments are welcome.

The whole list of articles about this project are are linked on my blog below:

Visit my Youtube Channel for a closer look on the completed diorama.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be back again with Boromir next in line. :boromir
