My vote has to go to Gondor, and i can't believe dwarves went second, they really lack a lot strengths without cavalry or sufficient shooting, or even magic.

dwarves dont need cavalry when cavalry charge they get ripped apart by the strong dwarfs. they have good fire power ballista, rangers and warrior archer kinbands are great. they dont need magic and to be honest magic isnt that good in either wotr or sbg in my opinion. and they have good heros. take balin he can stand up to lurtz (their the same except lurtz has 1 more might and balin has 1 more courage) and yet lurtz is 75 points more. dwarfs deffinatly deserve 2cnd :pippin:

Actually Lurtz has a pretty good Special Rule as well. Besides, I don't think one example is really enough to support your statement that Dwarves have good Heroes.

By the way, can someone else please vote for Gondor? :flower:

Balin is one of the better heroes, point for point, out there. 100pts, Inspiring leader, and the combo of Epic Challenge and Epic Strike. I rate Gimli (at least as good as Lurtz) and Dain pretty highly as well.

Gondor lacks punch, it can take it but not dish it. I'd still take it over Dwarves, but there are at least two more Evil lists (no, not Angmar) which I'd be giving the nod over them. That's without allies.

+1 to Isengard. In my opinion they have a great balance in offensive and defensive. They can stick a real hammering, and have some good variety.

Gondor - 9
Rohan - 7
Elves - 5
Dwarves - 2nd
Mordor - 1st
Isengard - 7
Moria - 8
Fallen Realms - 6
Angmar - 4

I'll vote again if thats ok. Last was for the Dwarves.
Gondor - 9
Rohan - 6 (-1)
Elves - 5
Dwarves - 2nd
Mordor - 1st
Isengard - 7
Moria - 8
Fallen Realms - 6
Angmar - 4

Rohan has to be the worst army in the game if we are talking with no allies. No siege. No magic. No monsters. Common formations are terrible. Overall Strength and Defence is on the low side. Calvary really doesn't stack up to other races calvary which I think is BS since they are the horse lords.

Rohan is a very nice looking though. Is there a poll for that?

i play rohan and i got to say they are good for sniping enemy heros but if you are playing against an infantry horde army. . . you lose. you might as well not play. so i would vote a horde army like moria up one, however many armies can get horde units. even isengard for example, an elitist army. so i am bringing rohan down one to 5.

Gondor - 9
Rohan - 5 (-1)
Elves - 5
Dwarves - 2nd
Mordor - 1st
Isengard - 7
Moria - 8
Fallen Realms - 6
Angmar - 4

Fair enough. I've actually seen Elves used well too. I still reckon that all other things being equal, a Mordor player has it much, much easier! :)

eorlthe young, i play rohan too mainly because of the books. not speaking gamewise, everysingle hero of rohan i love a little bit. if you have read the books you wont find it wierd but if you havent that sentence will come across a bit creepy. what im saying is i play then because they are the gretest but in this game i have to say the writers didnt feel as i did, and they are bad.
