hey where is everybody??? Usually when I post pics a lot of people comment, and only hero of gondor has posted.

Sorry, but I am a stickler when it comes to other people's thoughts. So I am open to any comments or criticisms that anyone has.

Personally I'm jealous. I haven't had time to paint since spring. They look great, a bit dark, but that's how mine end up too.

I could use a sprinkle of your drive to finish my dwarven horde...and my elven one...and my moria one... :shock:

Actually I like the simplicity of your scheme. I find that I go way (and I mean way overboard) on the number of paints I find myself painting onto a figurine. I have used your photos as a way to remind me to be subtle, use control when painting, and k.i.s.s. it to pull off ...better... painted figurines. (see my gallery for examples) Took me a while though, had to fight the urge to overdo things. NOW I just need to make it a "daily" paint mindset and start painting larger units to start making a dent into my Dwarves. So thanks Brother!

@scarpeIron-no problem, glad I am inspiring people!

-well, I have been experimenting with several advanced techniques, like feathering, wetblending, multi-layering, and I just cannot get them right, no matter how many articles or videos I watch!!!

so, I am good with drybrushing, so I will do my elven cloaks with that technique.

If anyone went through this and conquered these advanced techniques and has any helpful tips, PLZ TELL!!

so my army is getting along nicely, and I will be updating soon when I get my Christmas shipment in.

Look's good, bro. How did that tape work? Did it take off any of your paint?

actually, no it didn't remove any paint!

You have to just cut off pieces and using something long you can push it in there, and it will come off easily!

ok guys, a big update for today!

first of all, I went to GW yesterday and got 2 boxes of Galadhrim warriors and the Three Hunters!!

two days before I got my package that contained 5 blister packs of Guards of Galadhrim court, and a stormcaller!

I now have 5 companies of archers

3 companies of Guards and 3 companies of Gildors Household, I'll probably scrap Gildor's household, and replace it with more companies of Guards.

and of course the cavalry

5 companies of warriors with Gil-Galad and an army banner

5 more companies with stormcaller

and Three Hunters

also I have been doing work on highlighting my cloaks

well that's my update for now

The only question I have is whether those are just the minis you got yesterday or some of your older stuff mixed in.
'Cause if you did that much good painting in a day, I'm not sure whether I hate you or you're my new hero.

I have to say the cloaks do look great just go over the little bit of blue on the first elves base :-D

hey all, today is a glorious day, for I have find out the secret on how to paint my armor on my galadhrim well.

I have to personally thank Haldir_pl for all his help in explaining how to do the armor, and my cloaks.
SO THANKS A LOT!!!!!

Looks great to me

Maybe just paint his hands or do them as gloves so they stand out a bit more. But well done it's a big improvement.

ya, I only did the armor(the front armor), the rest of the mini isn't finished, but I will finish it.

wow! That looks really good! I love it! I also really like the way you paint your faces, they're never to bright, or too dark, they're always perfect!

I really enjoy following the progress of your painting skills, as well as seeing your army grow. And wow, that is one big army you've got there!

Can't wait for the next update!
