^^^Well I guess that scratches the "Palantir" out. "Istari Post", the word "Post" could probably be interchangeable with 'Herald' or 'Messenger', or even 'Times' since a Wizard is timeless and immortal. If people agree on this title, maybe the logo could be a silhouette side view of Gandalf with his pointy hat on top of a galloping horse. After all Gandalf was the bringer of news to all free nations of Middle-Earth, or Grima would say "Ill news."

Excellent job, keep up the good work. You're just giving us samples of your work to put into this e-magazine if it ever gets off the ground so it should be good that you post in here because it's relative. I don't know if we have an off topic drawing section here anyway.

I can draw somewhat also but I'm really out of practice so my skill isn't up to par as yours. But I was thinking that if we are really going ahead with this magazine that maybe I'll attempt to do a Silmarillion comic strip. All depending if I have the time and my drawing skills are still decent.

That is excellent Captain Ingold and would be perfect to be as a small logo at the corner of the cover page or leave at that size and have the mag title run over it. Raggbur's choice of course.

To garmenhord,
This one I made a few years back and was my last and one of my few full detailed decent drawings. Took me a very longtime to complete, so I would never do something like this for the mag and as you can tell it's not original from imagination but studied from a still off of my tv screen.

Anyway if I do a comic strip, I wouldn't put in a full effort of detail plus I haven't drawn in quite sometime, so the quality of my drawings would become much less.

Well - i kinda lac the exercise to ... I don't make as much detailed drawings like i used to anymore... most i do in a rush or a hurry.
Ah well

this certainly gives me some motivation to start more scribling. For some of reasons i lessened it a bit. Maybe because of all the other projects i am occupied with. Still looking forward to finishing my comic. I hope to get it done by september.

I don't want to show to much of it yet , caus this is going to be sold later on as a comic. If i finish it of course.

Very little sneak peak - but i think i already show to much with this

. It's the head character.
The story is made fully improvised. It's a about a forest guard and some weird critters in it's forest and so on...
Story might be a bit bad - but that's caus it's all improvision - i drew plate , a plate. And didn't write scenario or storyboarded this thing.

It appears the colours don't seem right to me of my image... dunno for what reason...

@garmenhord, I'm getting a pic error so I can't see your comic sample. Hope it goes well for you. As for Silmarillion it's hard to get into and you have to be patient with it, many many characters. The book only picks up and becomes exciting halfway through.

@Raggbur "Tales of the West" sounds like a novel story to me.

Hey folks, this is a fantastic example of an unofficial magazine some fans made. Something on the lines of this would be great fun to read, but smaller. I found it rather akward to read this on a screen but that was just my opinion. The link is rather big and it will take a while to load, so just leave it and do something else untill it loads up. Ah, link, excellent. I mentioned it on page 2 of this thread, but was too lazy to look it up. I think I downloaded a copy or two when it came out, but I can't remember. :oops:
