Welcome to the WIP community :D It's my favourite section of the one ring forum. I think the basic colours on the goblins look good. Can you take some photos from side on so we can get a better look at the models?

Very nice!
We probably all have tons of Goblins, but in all those years none ever wrote an article about converting tyhe standard plastic Goblins...

Love it how you decided to make your own captain!

And welcome to the WIP-section! :D

my conversions come from necesity i survive nearly all on second hand models, excluding occaisional heros ( my eomer arrived yesterday sooooo happy) so i couldnt justify buying one of the captains models.

the plastic conversions are tricky as they are very cramped models, but i managed it ok.

anyone got any recomendations for what the shaman should look like, im thinking swapping a bow for a staff/spear
then adding something to the firing hand or replacing it,
am really stuck for ideas on that one though

I agree swapping the bow for a staff is a good idea for a shaman - the other hand is tricky. Which bowman pose are you wanting to convert? Maybe they could be holding a skull/head or something on a 'rope'. You could get a skull from a bits pack or chop a head off another model (I guess preferably a head of a human or dwarf etc). This would look imposing and spooky, but might be a pain to do.

I've found in my plastic orc conversions that cutting the whole arm of at the shoulder and replacing it with another works wonders. Cut the arm off a sword wielding goblin and glue it onto your shaman.

I really like the conversion on your captain.

id never really thought of doing a whole arm swap,
the start pose will be from one of the 'just fired' goblins with the least armour
hmmm, i like the idea of giving him a head or a skull, or a dwarf head with a crown, which would add to his magic,
who wouldnt be struck motionless by the sight of a long dead kings head?!
hmmm my project has now got a direction!
