My opponent has his Spider Queen and wild warg approaching alone on the side. My elven archers volley and get four hits. He assigns the first to the warg, of course, I assign to Spider Queen, then he assigns to....what? Normally, models can recieve only one volley shot, but Spider Queen can get up to her wounds, thus 3. So...with nothing else within 14 cm, does the Spider Queen automatically get the remaining two hits?

Nice image. I think I'll make a Pin Cushion Terrian piece for the next game.

It isnt that she is multi wound alone. It is multi would PLUS large base ... unless anyone else reads differently

I don't understand what you mean. I read it as: anything with a cavalry size base or larger can recieve as many volley shots as wounds they have. So a mounted Captain with 2 wounds can recieve two volleys instead of the usual one per turn. Gulavhar has 4 wounds to start, so he could get hit four times in one volley turn.

No, a mounted captain with 2 wounds could get hit 3 times, as there is the wound of the mount as well. The eg in the book says that a normal cavalry model could get hit twice for the 2 wounds on his profile, one is his own and the other for his mount.

And going back to the first example, two hits could be allocated to the Warg Rider, leaving only two to hit the SQ.

As Gildor and Gothmog say. Sorry for the lack of clarity in my answer. First thing after a full day's teaching I'm not at my best
